Celebration Weekend June 30-July 1
Our 150th Anniversary Celebration is Saturday-Sunday, June 30-July 1. Because we need a count for the meal, we are asking for advance registration. You may register here. Cost is $14/person or $35/family.

Choir Reunion -
All current and former choir
members are invited to
join us for a reunion! This
will be a chance to see old
friends and meet new friends, celebrate the musical tradition of our church, and rehearse music that we will sing on Sunday morning. We have commissioned an anthem for the occasion that we will sing in worship.
Celebration Dinner/Program - Social Time 5:00, Dinner 5:45 with program to follow
We invite everyone to join us for a Celebration Dinner in our Fellowship Hall, with a catered meal. The program will include a celebration of our history with memories of past and current members, including former ministers. Cost for the meal is $14/person or $35/family.

Squaw Creek Church Historical Service
Squaw Creek Church, the forerunner of FBC, was in existence from ~1860-66 and reorganized after the founding of the city of Ames as First Baptist Church. From 1862 on, the Squaw Creek Church church met in the one-room Hoggatt School, which has been restored and is now on the grounds of Meeker Elementary. As we celebrate our history and heritage, we will hold our Sunday morning worship service on June 3 at the Hoggatt School. Please bring lawn chairs. A volunteer from the Ames HIstorical Society will be on hand to answer questions about the school.
We will go to Inis Grove Park following the service for a picnic lunch at the Shagbark Shelter (off of 24th St., north of tennis courts). We will be grilling hot dogs (veggie dogs too) - please bring a dish to share for the meal. We will also enjoy some old-time games and activities!
